Our leadership team is committed to providing exceptional service to all of our patients and referring physicians. Our physicians and leadership team work cooperatively to ensure that Desert Radiologists provides the highest level of quality diagnostic care.
| Randal G. Shelin, MD, MPH President Dr. Shelin joined Desert Radiologists in 2001 and was appointed President in January of 2012. As President, Dr. Shelin provides medical group leadership and works closely with the executive leadership team to guide and direct the practice. Dr. Shelin served as Naval Flight Surgeon and Primary Care Medical Officer for the US Navy. He also served with the US Navy as a Naval Reserve Flight Surgeon. As a Naval Reserve he participated in drills with VR-55 at Point Mugu, California, and participated overseas in Operation Iraqi Freedom. In August of 2008 Dr. Shelin retired from the US Navy after 20 years of service. Prior to joining Desert Radiologists, Dr. Shelin was employed by Diagnostic Imaging of Southern Nevada, where he served as the Administrative Director of the Surgery Center. Dr. Shelin received his Medical Degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana. He continued his medical career at Ochsner Foundation Hospital in New Orleans, completing a four-year residency in Diagnostic Imaging. Dr. Shelin earned his Master of Public Health from the Tulane University, School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. In 1989, he was designated as Naval Flight Surgeon after attending the U.S. Naval Flight Surgeon School at the Naval Aerospace Medical Institute at NAS Pensacola, Florida. |

Moore II, MBA, CRA Chief Executive Officer Mr. Moore joined Desert Radiologists in 2006 to provide operational leadership, as well as direct the company’s strategic development and long-term institutional goals. Mr. Moore works closely with the senior leadership team in guiding the internal functions for the achievement of corporate objectives. With 26 years of management and leadership experience in healthcare, Mr. Moore has provided oversight and direction to major hospitals and medical organizations. His experience in healthcare has involved mergers, acquisitions and consolidations with a strong focus on strategic growth and development. Before joining Desert Radiologists, Mr. Moore was employed by US Oncology. As Senior Vice President of Operations for the West Region, he provided operational leadership to six large oncology practices located in Nevada, California, Oregon and Washington. Mr. Moore holds a Master of Business Administration from Westminster College and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the University of Utah. In 2007, Mr. Moore obtained and currently holds the status as a Certified Radiology Administrator (CRA) from the Radiology Administration Certification Commission (RACC). |
![]() | Larry E. Weber Chief Operating Officer Mr. Weber joined Desert Radiologists in 2012 as Chief Operating Officer. He is responsible for directing, administering and coordinating all clinical and patient relations functions of the organization in accordance with policies, goals and objectives established by the corporations executive committee. Additionally, Mr. Weber assists in developing strategic short and long-range plans for operational, personnel, and financial performance and growth. With over 16 years of healthcare leadership experience, Mr. Weber has provided senior level leadership in all aspects of hospital operations, financial management, quality of care and strategic initiatives. Before joining Desert Radiologists, Mr. Weber was employed by Renown Health System. As Vice President of Ancillary/Support Services, he provided leadership and operational direction for employees across all ancillary and support services departments. Mr. Weber graduated Magna Cum Laude from Midwestern State University, where he earned a Master of Science in Radiologic Science (MSRS), majoring in Healthcare Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Technology (BSRT) for Imaging Management. |
![]() | Patricia A. Harms, MBA, CPA, FACMPE Chief Financial Officer Ms. Harms joined Desert Radiologists in 2010 bringing 20 years of healthcare management experience. As a member of the senior leadership team, Ms. Harms provides overall financial leadership and direction over the revenue cycle management for the organization. Ms. Harms' most recent position was Director of Finance for AKDHC, LLC, a large nephrology practice providing services throughout Arizona. As part of her responsibilities, she was a member of the Board of Directors for their joint venture with a large dialysis company owning 60 treatment centers in Arizona. Ms. Harms' previous healthcare management experience encompasses surgery, gastroenterology, internal medicine, obstetrics and pediatric practices. In addition to these leadership roles, she has also provided consulting services to healthcare providers over the years. Ms. Harms earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Illinois, Urbana -Champaign and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Illinois State University. Ms. Harms has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1989. Ms. Harms successfully achieved the designation of Fellow in the American College of Medical Practice Executives (FACMPE) in 2006. |

Swindell, FACHE, CMPE Administrator, Desert Radiology Solutions Mr. Swindell joined Desert Radiologists in 2012 as Administrator of its teleradiology & management services organization, Desert Radiology Solutions. As Administrator he is responsible for the development, marketing and oversight of all teleradiology services as well as the coordination of management services. He also works closely with senior leadership to provide input on the development of strategic short and long-term plans. With over 12 years of healthcare and teleradiology experience, Mr. Swindell possesses extensive skills in contract negotiations, physician recruitment, strategic development, governance and revenue cycle management. Prior to joining Desert Radiology Solutions, Mr. Swindell co-founded EagleEye Radiology, where he served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technology Officer. His responsibilities included overseeing the development and business operations of the multimillion-dollar, hospital based physician group. Mr. Swindell is board certified by the American College of Medical Practice Executives (CMPE) and a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE). He earned a Master of Business Administration in International Business from Oklahoma Baptist University and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Oklahoma State University. |
![]() | Kim Nagle Human Resources Director Ms. Nagle obtained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Iowa State University in 1990. She obtained the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification in 1995 and the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification in 2001. As the Human Resources Director, Ms. Nagle plans, develops, implements and administers all personnel programs for human resources related areas to include: employment, compensation and benefits, employee relations, equal employment opportunity and training. |
![]() | Mike Reardon Information Services Director Mr. Reardon joined Desert Radiologists in 2008 to provide advanced technological expertise and strategic planning for the organization's Information Services division. Mr. Reardon has over 15 years of experience in various areas of information technology. Prior to joining Desert Radiologists, he served as the Information Technology Manager for the nation's premiere telecommunications provider to the convention and trade show industry. Some of Mr. Reardon's core responsibilities include direction of the information systems and information technology teams, overseeing clinical implementations, emerging technology development, vendor contract management and corporate IT governance. Mr. Reardon holds several technology certifications and earned an Associates of Science in Biology from the College of Southern Nevada. |
![]() | Joshua Burke Controller Mr. Burke obtained a Bachelors of Arts in Accounting from the University of Utah in 2001 and later obtained a Masters of Accountancy from the University of Phoenix in 2005. Prior to joining Desert Radiologists, Mr. Burke served as Controller and Director of the Central Billing Office for a Physical Therapy provider, where he provided revenue analysis, managed the accounting cycle for month and year end as well as coordinating the year-end audit. As Controller, Mr. Burke will be responsible for preparing financial statements and all general accounting functions of the organizations' finance department. |
